USGS data during CME-04: 1) 5-min data set (within canopy): West tower: wind data at 1m, 3m, 6m, and 10m; temperature/relative humidity at 2 m and 10 m; pressure South tower: wind at 1 m and 6 m North tower: wind at 1 m Time coverage: JD 131(11 May 2004), 1225 (HHMM, MST) to JD194, 1330 JD 194, 1430 to JD 204, 1500 JD 204, 1655 to JD 231, 1245 JD 231, 1450 to JD 287 0755 JD 287, 0900 to JD 300, 1630 JD 300, 1640 to JD 321 1335 Notes: The west tower Handar 6m data went bad sometime before May 10. The communications hardware went bad so there's a discernable difference between good data and bad. The west tower 10m Handar had a similar failure before June 22. I haven't determine the extact time of failure yet for it either but it should be noticable. A repaired west tower Handar 6m was installed on Aug 18. The 10m Handar was not repairable. Instead a WindSonic replaced it on Oct 26. WindSonic data are just the U and V component velocities. WindSonic Data between Oct 7-26 are wind speed and wind direction. Use the component velocities to compute wind speed and direction for Handar and the WindSonic. All directions are true bearing, not magnetic. All Handar wind speeds in miles per hour. WindSonic Data after Oct 26 in meters per second. In-canopy data are averages and are reported every 5 minutes with the time stamp at the end of the averaging period. Wind speed from Handar is averaged each second by the Handar software, which includes a deadband wind speed. The wind direction is also not really useful because deadband wind is set to 0 degrees wind direction. Mean U V are both 1 sec averaged by the Handars and then averaged by the CR10x for 30 minutes. 2) 30-min data set (above canopy): Variables: 1-station ID, 2-year, 3-day,4-ending time,5-Rnet (w/m2), 6-Pyranemeter (w/m2),7-PAR,8-Temp(33m),9-rel Hum(33m),10-Wind speed-cups (33m) m/s, 11-Wind direction (true) Time coverage: JD12, 1430 (HHMM, MST) to JD344, 1400 Above canopy data is reported every 30 min., time stamp at the end of the half hour. Above canopy (30m) wind speed is a 30 minute average of cups, therefore, no U and V. I have no other raw data besides CSAT at 2m and 33m at the west tower. 3) 3.3 Hz, data set: Variables: ID, Julian Day, HHMM (MST), CSAT(metric units) at 33m: U, V, W, T,Diagnostic;CSAT(metric units) at 2m: U,V,W,T,Diag; Krypton 33m voltage, LiCor6262 voltages: H2O,CO2,Cell Press, Cell Temp(outflow); Flow Rate(volts), Barometer(volts),Krypton(volts) 2m, ATDD Open Path(volts) H2O,CO2 Time coverage: JD121 (5/1/04) 2300 (HHMM, MST) to JD 152, 0729 JD153, 1201 to JD174, 0658 JD174, 1159 to JD204, 1458 JD211, 1458 to JD252, 0759 JD252, 1629 to JD264, 1159 JD264, 1229 to JD281, 1429 There is no data for July 22-29 (actually between 204, 7/23-210,7/29)
