% notes for the august7 meeting.

Purpose:  Status of Deployment.

Attendees: Jielun Sun, Britt Stephens, Steve Oncley, Alex Guenther,
 Sean Burns, Tony Delany, Tim, Brian Lamb, Peggy LeMone, Don Lenschow, and
 Teresa Campos.

Some Items:
------------

 * Alex will fly one balloon from Aug 12-17.  The tentative plan will
   be to fly 3 balloons from Aug 19-24 (but this can be changed).
   Using the PDA 4 channels of data can be recorded.  Andrew will
   check into getting LiCor data from C-1.

 * Brian Lamb will run till Friday, Aug 16th.  SF6 data are collected
   continuously.

 * Hydra is almost ready for deployment.  Ion optics systems have
   arrived.

 * The design of tram is starting to take a more real form.  The
   plan is to sample at 1m and 3m hts with the tram moving at
   5 m/s.  The line will be about 200m.  It will run in a circular
   path.

 * Cal gasses have been ordered for the cross-calibration.  Britt will focus
   more on the cross-calibrations then the Russian CO_2 sensor.

 * The ATD towers are up.  Instrumentation will be up next week.

 * Andrew will borrow the differential GPS from LTER for accurate 
   measurements of the locations of the ATD towers.
