Image used by Janice Coen to demonstrate what the infrared imager 'sees'. Image shows three firefighters as they walk towards the camera across a grass field. The temperature scale (in color) to the left shows how warm the subjects are, with brighter colors like white and yellow being hotter than colors like red and maroon.

Charlie Knight: Presented "Hail, Supercooled Water, and Phase Changes" to a High School class in Holyoke, CO in May 2002.

John Latham: Presented "Creative Writing & Science" to the Arvon Foundation in Yorkshire, UK in September 2002.
