Showing are vertical profiles of the temperature and mixing ratio errors of the 12- and 24-hour MM5 forecasts made during WISP94. All forecasts began at 0000 UTC. Statistics were compiled using available soundings within the 20 km horizontal resolution domain which encompassed much of the Rocky Mountains and High Plains. Mixing-ratio errors have been cut off above 300 mb because of the questionable quality of the humidity observations in the upper troposphere.
