About the 2006 Tutorial

Tutorial Overview

The NCAR/Mesoscale and Microscale Meteorology Division invites you to attend a five-day WRF ARW Tutorial, scheduled for January 23 - 27, 2006 at our Foothills Laboratory in Boulder, Colorado.

FOCUS:
The tutorial will consist of a series of lectures on various components of the WRF ARW modeling system and hands-on practice sessions, including:

Requirements

Basic knowledge of atmospheric science, numerical weather prediction as well as Fortran and UNIX is required for the class.

Available Spaces

Due to the constraints of physical space and workstations, the maximum number of people we can accommodate is 50, and we will accept 5 people on a waitlist for any cancellations. Register early, as registrations always exceed capacity!

Registration & Payment

The registration fee is $350 ($250 for University students and faculty).

Payments are due by November 21, 2006 and there will be no refunds for cancellations made after January 10, 2006.

Upon registering, you will receive a confirmation that you have registered. Confirmation that you have been accepted to the tutorial class will be sent once payment has been received.

If payment has not been received by the November 21 deadline, you may be removed from the tutorial and your spot given to someone on the waiting list. Participants on the waiting list will be notified as soon as possible regarding available space in the class. Please see our Registration & Payment Page for more details.
