A five-day Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model tutorial will be
offered in the week of July 23 - 27, 2007 at the NCAR Foothills Laboratory,
Boulder, Colorado.
The tutorial will consist of lectures on various components of the WRF
modeling system for both the Advanced
Research WRF (ARW) and Nonhydrostatic
Mesoscale Model (NMM), and hands-on practice sessions. The topics include:
Basic knowledge of atmospheric science and numerical modeling as well as Fortran and Unix is required for the class. All participants are strongly encouraged to work through one or more of the online tutorials for ARW, NMM, and WRF-Var, depending on your interest, prior to attending the tutorial class.
Due to the constraints of physical space and workstations, the maximum number of people we can accommodate is 50, and we will accept 15 people on a waiting list for any cancellations. Register early, as registration always exceeds capacity!
The registration fee is $400 ($300 for University students and Post-docs).
Payments are due by 11 May 2007 and there will be no refunds for cancellations made after 9 July 2007.
Upon registering, you will receive a confirmation that you have registered.
Confirmation that you have been accepted
to the tutorial class will be sent once payment has been received.
If payment has not been received by the 11 May 2007 deadline, you will be
removed from the tutorial and your spot given to someone on the waiting
list. Participants on the waiting list will be notified as soon as possible
regarding available space in the class.

Before 9 July 2007, we will refund your registration fee less $25.00 to cover administrative fees.
After 9 July 2007, there will be no refunds.
