The inaugural meeting focused
on evaluating and intercomparing CRMs using observational datasets
from TOGA COARE. This meeting, entitled "Evaluation and Intercomparison
of GCSS Cloud-resolving Models using TOGA COARE Observations",
was held 21-23 October 1996 in Annapolis, Maryland. It was co-hosted
by NASA Goddard Space Flight Center and NCAR.
The second meeting, the "Joint
COARE Flux/Oceans/GCSS-WG 4 Workshop", was a joint meeting
with the COARE Flux Working Group. It was held 14-16 May 1997
in Boulder, Colorado, and was hosted by NCAR.
This was the final workshop of the COARE Flux Group,
and attempted to tidy up, resolve or review the many issues which
have occupied the Group's attention since the IOP ended. Much
of the discussion reported is relevant to the business of COARE98.
Also, the concept of a joint workshop between a very active modelling
group and the ocean and atmospheric scientists who participated
in the COARE experiment, foreshadows the strong modeller/observer
collaboration which we hope will be an outcome of COARE98.
The third meeting was part of COARE98,
7-14 July 1998, Boulder, CO.
The proceedings were published as COARE-98: Proceedings
of a Conference on the TOGA Coupled Ocean-Atmosphere Response
Experiment (COARE), Boulder, CO, USA, 7--14 July 1998, WCRP-107.

by GFDL.
The fifth
meeting was the Joint GCSS WG 4 and DOE ARM CPM (Cloud Parameterization
and Modeling) WG Meeting, 6-8 November 2000, Silver Spring, MD,
hosted by EMC/NCEP/NOAA.
EUROCS
meeting in Lisbon, Portugal, May 2001
The sixth meeting was the Joint GCSS WG 4 and DOE
ARM CPM (Cloud Parameterization and Modeling) WG Meeting, 22-24
October, 2001, Boulder, CO, hosted by NCAR.
EUROCS
meeting in Utrecht, hosted by IMAU University of Utrecht and
KNMI De Bilt, 8-10 April 2002
EUROCS
meeting in Madrid, hosted by INM, 16-19 December 2002
The seventh meeting was the joint meeting between
GCSS WG1, WG3, WG4, and
DOE ARM cloud modeling WG and cloud properties WG. It was held
in
Broomfield, Colorado, during the week of October 27th, 2003. You
