 | Boise State University Paul Dawson EMAIL: pdawson@boisestate.edu Research Interests: Typical Use(s)of the MM5 model: I intend to use the model to simulate and analyze deep-layer winter inversion episodes in the Boise Valley of Idaho. This is the subject of a recently awarded EPA EPSCoR grant awarded to me at Boise State University. I intend to study the meteorology associated with these episodes and to use the EPA Models 3 system (MM5 and CMAQ) to model the PM10 concentrations in the valley. The 2-year study, which will include 2 graduate students, is just starting now. This winter season, we will focus on observations and data collection, analysis, and initial modeling.

Also, we'd like to convert these MM5 output files to a format that the Lagrangian particle model Hysplit can read.
