MM5 3DVAR Data Assimilation Home Page
Welcome to the home page of the three-dimensional variational (3DVAR)
data assimilation system built for the NCAR/PSU MM5 model. The MM5
3DVAR code is maintained and supported by the Data
Assimilation Subgroup of the Mesoscale Prediction Group of NCAR/'s
MMM Division.
The 3DVAR code is being developed to run not only with MM5 but with WRF. This is a collaborative
project
between NCAR, NOAA/NCEP, NOAA/FSL, OU/CAPS and AFWA. Release of the WRF
capability in 3DVAR is planned for summer 2003.
