Awards Given Recently to Andy Heymsfield and George Bryan

On March 16, 2006, Andy Heymsfield presented, "Ice Cloud Properties from In-Situ Observations and Application to Spaceborne Active Remote Sensors" at the GSFC, Laboratory for Atmospheres, as part of their Distinguished Lecturer Seminar Series.

From April 5 - 7, 2006, George Bryan returned to Penn State to give a lecture, "Roll circulations in the convective region of squall lines", as part of the Penn State Alumni Achievement Award recognition. Quoting from the Penn State article, "A highly sought expert in his field, Bryan has already made fundamental contributions to the field of meteorology. Bryan designed and constructed a cutting edge computer model of the atmosphere — an especially daunting task since other models have taken hundreds of man-years to develop."
