Warm and dry conditions over STEPS domain today. No activity expected. Wave approaching from NW on Saturday along with some marginal instability expected to produce some convection from mid-afternoon on. Little activity expected on Sunday.

Ops Center Operational except for radio communication and T1 connection to S-Pol
CHILL Operational, some work continuing on improving the quality of the polarimetric measurements.
S-Pol Operational except for T1 connection and radio communication to Ops center. Some minor work continuing on putting all equipment in full operating order.
LMA Trailer near the WFO installed. Installation continuing on remote stations.

EXPECTED OPERATIONS FOR 0519:

Since there is little likelihood of convection, most of the day will be devoted to continued testing and making the whole Ops Center, CHILL, and S-Pol fully operational. Work will continue on how best to run coordinated scans between CHILL and S-Pol. Should any echoes develop, we might try some coordinated scans.


DEBRIEFING OF OPERATIONS FOR 0519:

No weather developed in the STEPS domain. It was cool, overcast, and windy all day. Preparatory work continued at the Ops Center and S-Pol.
