Forecasters: Morris Weisman (NCAR/MMM)
Today will be partly cloudy and dry, with a slight chance of late afternoon sprinkles.
Low-level moisture is forecast to return overnight, with significant instability expected to set up over the STEPS region by Thursday afternoon. A weak upper-level disturbance will also increase the triggering potential. Shear values will be marginal for supercellular activity, but severe convection cannot be ruled out.
For Friday, conditions continue to look favorable for significant convection.
