This time was chosen based on feedback from STEPS participants and replies from teachers and local citizens. This is a compromise date as no ideal time could be agreed upon. We don't want to interfere in any way with efforts to be ready for the main data collection activities. Also, we understand that there will be a STEPS media day the 1st of June. However, for the benefit of the local citizens who are very interested in this project and very eager to help and learn from our activities, it seems appropriate to share information before the project gets rolling. We will have a slide and overhead projector available. I am not sure of the availability of a computer projector. For those of you who will be available to meet the interested public and share a little about your research goals and plans, please RSVP one more time. Kale and I will make up a brief program agenda based on your replies. I know that some groups plans have changed as time gets closer Thanks in advance for helping out. If you need instructions on how to find the school and the auditorium, please contact Kale Franz. Nolan Doesken Colorado Climate Center P.S. Remember, if you can spare an hour to visit a classroom of kids, please coordinate with Kale. Schools in the area end for the summer before Memorial Day (I think), so the sooner the better. There will be other opportunities in June for community talks, but that won't draw as many kids.
