April 06, 2000: Map showing Western Kansas Weather Modification Project operational counties for the summer of 2000. The Severe Thunderstorm Electrification and Precipitation Study (STEPS) is not affiliated with the Western Kansas Weather Modification Project. This map is for information purposes only.
March 22, 2000: Paul Krehbiel's email update on Lightning Mapping System.
February 25, 2000: Mike Poellot's email message regarding withdrawal of UND Citation.
January 14, 2000: Dave Brunkow's email update on CSU-CHILL site and Operations Center.
December 09, 1999: Dave Brunkow's email update on CSU-CHILL communications and operations van.
November 23, 1999: Radar coverage (dual-Doppler lobes at 20 deg and 30 deg ) for the three possible CSU-CHILL radar sites identified by Pat Kennedy. There is very little difference in coverage from either of the two sites near Bethune Colorado. The site at the Kit Carson County Airport near Burlington Colorado shortens the Goodland-CHILL baseline from 59.8 (or 58.8) km to 52 km and rotates the two research radar lobes a few degrees counter-clockwise, thereby aligning them slightly more east-west compared to those for the two sites near Bethune.
These preliminary sites have now been replaced with new ones in the Ops Plan.

November 15, 1999: Pat Kennedy's report on CSU-CHILL site survey trip.
November 05, 1999: Paul Krehbiel's message to Pat Kennedy about possible STEPS sites for the CSU-CHILL radar, including the revised lightning mapping network and topography maps.
This network has now been replaced with a new one in the Ops Plan.

November 03, 1999: Paul Krehbiel's message to Pat Kennedy about doing a STEPS site survey.
November 03, 1999: Jay Miller's message to STEPS participants.
