Research Interests
David's general interests are in storm-scale and mesoscale analysis and prediction. His specific interests include severe convective storms, radar and in situ observations of convective storms and other mesoscale phenomena, ensemble Kalman filter data assimilation, storm-scale numerical weather prediction, and ensemble forecasting. He is currently involved in the following projects: the Verification of the Origins of Rotation in Tornadoes Experiment 2 (VORTEX2), the Consolidated Storm Prediction for Aviation (CoSPA), and the Data Assimilation Research Testbed (DART).
