Grid generation

Currently, I'm working on the Model for Prediction Across Scales. My interests are in the design of a software framework for MPAS and in the generation of unstructured grids.

WRF Pre-processing System

My work related to the WRF model has been primarily concerned with the WRF Pre-processing System (WPS). The WPS is a set of programs used to produce input for the Weather Research and Forecasting Model. Those interested in learning more about the WPS might find the following useful:

• Lecture slides presented at the bi-annual WRF Tutorials. This set of three lectures covers WPS Basics, Running the WPS, and Advanced WPS Topics
• Chapter 3 of the WRF Users' Guide, which provides information on various aspects of the WPS
• Information about using high-resolution topography and land cover data in the WPS
