The 13th BMB-NCAR Project Meeting

1. Discuss the project progress

Dr. Huang presented the up-to-date project review.

Jiqin reported her progress on running WRF model on IBM supercomputer and using the RIP graphics package. She showed the WRF model simulation of case 2005062500. She found a few spots with excessive precipitation. Dir. Kuo suggested checking the landuse in the model.

Dir. Kuo suggested working further on certain cases with more synoptic analyses.

2 Make a task list

Run the 6 cases in this rainy season using Exp02, Exp08 and Exp11 configurations, respectively.

Look into the WRF landuse.

Do further study on the case of 20050625 stressing more on synoptic analysis.

Realize WRF model cycling and run cases 0601~0607.

Make the verification system of WRF available.
