1. Discuss the project progress

Jiqin had got the scores of several experiments.

The upper wind, humidity and surface pressure forecast with WRF is better than that with MM5, while surface wind temperature and upper temperature forecast with WRF is worse than that with MM5. Taking the whole things into account, Drs. Huang and Wang thought the WRF model was the better one for our later work.

Judging from scores of exp11 and exp15, the sfc_assi=2 option is not superior to the sfc_assi=1 option.

According to the scores of exp17 and exp18, the performance of WRF model with wrf 12h forecast as background is better than that using avn 12h forecast.

Dr. Wang suggested Jiqin to figure out why surface variables forecast provided by WRF model were worse than that by MM5 model. She advised to begin with checking the quality of input file generated and the terrain used in those two models, et al.

2. Make a task list

Find out why scores of exp19 is worse than that of exp17.

Make clear the quality of input files of WRF model and MM5 model.

Set out to run the assimilation experiments of local data
