Statistical Theory of Turbulence

My research consists in the development of statistical theories to treat turbulent flows under conditions found in the atmosphere and the simulations of such flows utilizing high resolution direct numerical simulations (DNS). The DNS serve as experiments to test the statistical theory, and provide grounds for improving it.
