Statement of Work

Tasks:
Task 1: System design and initial tests.
Task 2: Training of BMB staff WRF 3DVAR at NCAR.
Task 3: Implementation of the WRF3DVAR system on BMB's computing environment.
Task 4: Testing and improving the computational performance of WRF3DVAR system.
Task 5: Evaluating and enchancing the meteorological performance of the WRF3DVAR system.
Task 6: Monitoring of pre-operational runs and case studies.
Task 7: Monitoring of operational use of WRF3DVAR at BMB, and additional case studies.

    A simplified gen_be_Stage0 code for both MM5 and WRF regional models has developed
    and intensively tested in PC Linux by Yong-Run Guo (NCAR), Shui-Yong Fan (BMB), and
    Hui-Chuan Lin (CWB). The new code can be downloaded from gen_be_Stage0.
