Task1:System design and initial tests.
Task2:Training of BMB staff WRF 3DVAR at NCAR.
Task3:Implementation of the WRF3DVAR system on BMB's computing environment.
Task4: Testing and improving the computational performance of WRF3DVAR system.
Task5:Evaluating and enhancing the meteorological performance of the WRF3DVAR system.

D11. System design.
D12. WRF model and 3DVAR codes, test cases and documentation:

(1) wrfsi program: wrfsi code ,
(2) wrf model program: wrf code ,
(3) 3DVAR obs preprocessor program: 3DVAR_OBSPROC code
(4) WRF 3D-Var program: wrfvar code .

       The wrfvar code were updated with bugs fixed and two more functions: QC-OBS and VERIFY
        (refer to http://box.mmm.ucar.edu/people/guo/individual_guo/CWB/CWB_Project_2006.html , section Data assimilation)
        


     NMC_Stage0_for_WRF: ducument.

    A simplified gen_be_Stage0 code for both MM5 and WRF regional models has developed
    and intensively tested in PC Linux by Yong-Run Guo (NCAR), Shui-Yong Fan (BMB), and
    Hui-Chuan Lin (CWB). The new code can be downloaded from gen_be_Stage0.

          WRFVAR-based verification


          This verification package is composed of wrfvar code, RMS/Bias errors computing and plotting
          program, and two utility programs:

           The time advancing program: advance_cymdh.f90
          WRF forecast file splitting program: wrfout_split
          wrfvar code is same as above in D12 (4)
          RMS and Bias errors computing and plotting program: plot_var_stats and the scripts


         
After untarred Verify_scripts.tar downloaded by click scripts, please read README file carefully
          to learn how to use  this wrfvar-based verification package.
