Wei made modifications on implicit diffusion related files for the backward integration. Min did some tests and found the WRF model can integrate backward for longer than 10 hours without any problem. But diagnostic output is not available due to some compiling problem.
Wei sent Ju-won some information about how to output a time series for a single model point. During WeiÕs vacation, Michael Duda may provide some help on this work if necessary.
Wei: will be on vacation and scheduled to come back on 17 Aug.
Ju-Won: work on the verification for DFL cycle runs; run single point diagnostics, if she still has some time.
Min: In addition to the 30 km domain, do backward integration test on 10 km domain. Plot some figures for backward integration fields, especially for divergence, hydrometeors (or just specific humidity), etc. Comparing the backward integration results with the analysis at the corresponding time. Check the advection for backward integration. Prepare the DFI codes.
Hans: review the results of verification scores for DFL tests and the diagnostic figures of backward integration.
