Professional Interests

My research interests cover a broad range of scales and phenomena in the area of synoptic-dynamic and mesoscale meteorology. I am currently a project scientist in the MMM division of NESL. In MMM, my research interests are in both real-time tropical cyclone forecasting and high-impact weather in regional climate simulations. I am also interested in improving the understanding of atmospheric processes that act on the interface between weather and climate. Prior to NCAR, I worked as a postdoc at the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences at the University of Colorado during 2010-2011 after receiving my Ph.D. from the University at Albany in August 2010.
