Professional Interests
Stan Trier's research emphasis concerns a broad range of topics related to mesoscale convective systems and their environments. These include the life cycle of organized deep convection and its relationship to diurnal cycle, the dynamics of convectively generated vortices and their environments, and land-surface planetary boundary layer interactions and their influence on convection initiation.
