King-Air Data Summary - February 16, 1996

MEMO TO: Charlie Knight

FROM: Al Cooper

SUBJECT: Aircraft data files on the NCAR MSS

SCMS data files from Wyoming (N2UW) and from METEO-France (Merlin) have now been transferred to the NCAR Mass Store System. To date, the only files there from the Merlin are the 1-s values. For N2UW, the raw tapes as well as the processed data files are stored. As you know, there is also an NCAR C130 data set on the MSS as well. The C-130 and Merlin data sets are in NETCDF format; the Wyoming processed data are in GENPRO format, with the data header and data values stored in separate files.

All file names should be preceded by /COOPERW/SCMS/2UW for Wyoming files and /COOPER/SCMS/MERLIN for METEO-France files. E.G., the raw-data file for flight 5 of 2UW is stored as /COOPERW/SCMS/2UW/R05.

The paths to the Merlin data are:
