Information for Principal Investigators

We recommend that principal investigators (PIs) and experiment leaders that would benefit from the support described here account for the services in their proposed work. The specific support sought (e.g., preliminary modeling, forecasting, post-campaign analysis) preferably should be described and budgeted for in the initial project proposal. As agency program managers become more aware of the benefits from forecasting support, including it at the outset will strengthen proposals as well as avoid difficulties from seeking extra funding for it after project approval.

PIs should contact the contact MMM scientists listed below for further information. The MMM personnel can work with the PIs to determine what might be best for the proposed effort and can provide written descriptions and cost estimates of services.
