18Th WRF Users' Workshop

June 12-16, 2017, Center Green, Boulder, CO

The 18th Weather Research and Forecasting Model Users' workshop was held at NCAR's Center Green Campus on June 12 - 16. The annual workshop brought 180 scientists and students from 19 countries together to share their experiences, discuss model development and issues related to various model applications. Topics presented at the workshop cover a wide range, including new model development, physics improvement, and applications of the model in the areas of atmospheric studies, weather prediction, data assimilation, regional climate and chemistry. The Monday afternoon's lecture series introduced the topic of ensemble prediction, while mini-tutorials on WRF-Hydro, MPAS for WRF Users, VAPOR, NCL and WRF-Python were provided on Friday.
