MMM Scientist Wins Award

Dr. Richard Rotunno recieves inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award for Outstanding Contributions to Severe Local Storms Research

The American Meteorological Society's Committee on Severe Local Storms has announced that Dr. Richard Rotunno of NCAR/MMM is the inaugural recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award for Outstanding Contributions to Severe Local Storms Research. The award is given to an individual who has made outstanding contributions to the theory and/or application of knowledge about Severe Local Storms during their career. Dr. Rotunno is pictured with Dr. Terra Ladwig of NOAA/ESRL/GSD, the co-chair of the 29th Conference on Severe Local Storms.
