WRF Events

Bi-annual tutorials are aimed at teaching new users how to use and understand the concepts and mechanisms of the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) modeling system. Participants come from the U.S. and around the world. Students from universities and professional/governmental organizations are welcome. The classes consist of lectures on how each component of the WRF system works, including model dynamics, numerics, physics, initialization, nesting, pre- and post-processing programs, software framework, and instructions for installing, setting-up, and running the programs. Hands-on sessions are included in the training, and allow students to work on laboratory exercises to obtain an understanding of how to use the model.

WRF users events are provided in the Announcements section of the sidebar on the WRF Users page as well as in the list below.
